Developpublicunderstandingoftheconserva3onandmanagementneedsofwolvesinWashington,therebypromo3ngthepublicsco-existencewiththespeciesDe-lis3ngRequirements 15breedingpairsforthreeconsecu3veyears,with4ineachrecoveryregionplus3inanypartofthestate,or; 18breedingpairsinoneyearwith4ineachrecoveryregionand6anywhereinthestatePartnership makes range riding work: the rancher, the rider, Washington Dept. of Fish & Wildlife and Conservation Northwest are partners in this effort. Conservation Northwests wolf and livestock conflict avoidance programs arent limited to range riding. Were also using our staff, and member and volunteer networks, to help ranchers and WDFW install fladry around calving pastures and grazing areas.
