    • What kind of X is that X?
    • Is there anything else about X?
    • Use only these questions and the clients words
    • Ask several times, in any order
    • Ask about things they seem to like and enjoy
    • Have fun!
  • The power of your attention
    • As person A talks about something which is important to them, person B:
    • Listens exquisitely
    • Is distracted
    • Listens exquisitely again
    • Chimes will mark shifts between these kinds of listening
  • Questioning for clarity
    • Some basic Clean Language questions:
    • What kind of X is that X?
    • Is there anything else about X?
    • Where/whereabouts is X?
    • Is there a relationship between X and Y?
    • And thats X like what?
  • Questioning for motivation
    • For this activity, you will need two problems which can be stated in a short sentence.
    • For example:
    • My desk is untidy and I cant find anything
    • I feel unfit and ought to get more exercise
    • Activity based on Motivation in a Moment by Marian Way, Wendy Sullivan and Phil Swallow

    • Person A states one of their problems.
    • Person B responds by giving their very best advice, beginning with:
    • If I were you Id
    • What you should do is
    • Person A notices what happens to their thinking
  • Questioning for motivation
    • Person A states one of their problems.
    • Person B responds by asking:
    • What would you like to have happen?
    • What needs to happen for that to happen?
    • And can that happen?
    • Person A notices what happens to their thinking
  • When the reorganisation has settled down and everything is working as you would like, your projects will be like what?
