Ask students to work in groups to write down the questions that they asked, the person they asked and the answer they got (if they dont remember they can make up a reasonable answer)NOTES TO TEACHERS: Introduce the questions to the class (change you to we), reading them together from the slideThen put the slide away and ask students orally to see if they can understand and answer the questionsIf students have trouble with the past tense, help them out Put up the slide Crazy English and let them practice past tense of irregular verbs. Make copies for them to practice at home if they want Put students in pairs and let them ask and answer the questions Have students do flashcards on past tense and practice with each other Review questions and answers the next class period. Say the questions (dont let the students see them) and ask them to write down the answers. Beginning students just write down a word or so, - more advanced students write down whole sentences (give them the option Do this as a Language Experience StoryAsk students the questions on Where Did You Go? (changing you to we.Have students give you sentences and write them down on the overhead. Write down what students say. Try to involve everyone, asking shyer students to contibute.Dont correct their English at this point. When the story is finished read it aloud together with the group. Ask them if they want to make any changes in the story. Ask them to add one more sentence at the end, saying something about the trip (we liked it or it was a great trip)Make copies of the story and then read it aloud the next day (listening comprehension; dont show it to the students).Hand out copies of the story and read it together with the group as a whole. See who has trouble keeping up and who is reading aloud right along with youAsk individual students to read one sentence at a time; if they struggle, read write along with themHave students do flash cards on irregular verbs. Put the question (where did you go?) on the front and the past tense on the back (I went .....)Have students practice in pairs more advanced students asking the beginning ones.
