What a million-dollar question! It inspired this months feature, Sabah - Everything for Everyone! (p.10) and hopefully answers the question of my lessinformed friend. If you look beyond the beaches and green canopies, youll find that Sabah is a treasure cove of experiences waiting to be discovered. Be it a great night out in KK City or a satisfying shopping spree, its all right here in Sabah. July is also a month jam-packed with events. Worth catching is the Pesta Gambus or Lute Festival which takes place in the district of Papar (p.4), which celebrates the stringed instrument of the Brunei-Malay community. In Kuala Penyu, the annual Sago Fest or Pesta Rumbia will be taking place fomr the 6th to the 8th of July (p.3). Plenty of hands on activities for visitors to enjoy, including traditional roof-making and for the more adventurous, a taste of a live sago worm!
