  • Report on the NGV Expo China 2014 and China NGV Forum 2014, 24 26th September 2014, Beijing, China NGV Expo China 2014, 24th 26th September 2014 and China NGV Forum 2014, 24th -25th September 2014 were held together at the Beijing National Agriculture Exhibition Center, Beijing, China. Both events were organized by China Industrial Gases Industry Association (CIGIA) and co-organized by China LNG Association and China National NGV Engineering Research Center. The events were managed by AIT Events Co. Ltd. and endorsed by ANGVA. NGV Expo China 2014, the 6th China International Exhibition on NGV, Engines, and Gas Refueling Stations saw participation of around 300 exhibitors covering around 20,000 m2 of exhibition areas. Exhibits include latest technologies on LNG refueling stations and LNG vehicles equipment and components.

    The Forum saw the participation of around 80 delegates from overseas and locally. Speakers included key local NGV players such as CATARC, China Industrial Gases Industry Association, local manufacturers of NGV equipment, etc., and from overseas included ANGVA, NGV Global, and NGV Italy. The forum consisted of presentations and panel discussions which were split into two parallel sessions. Issues discussed included: current development of NGV in China and worldwide, Standards and Policies and Safety, covering both CNG and LNG vehicles and refueling stations. There was also a closed-door session for industrial leaders which among others concluded that the use of RFID to monitor the safety of CNG vehicles should be promoted and developed further.
