He place a fruit basket near a tree and stated that whoever got to the tree first would win the sweet fruits. When told to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When asked why they ran together when one could have had all the fruits for himself or herself they said: Ubuntu, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?"Ubuntu - "I am because we are.Like mindedness recognizes each other in SYNERGYInsert a map of your country.3Pre-Assessment of Learning p1a12345 1. I have enhanced my scope of context analysis as an unit manager by learning how SWOT analysis can be applied at the micro level to develop a greater understanding of campus organizations and their decision making processes in an effort to meet institutional vision, mission and goals. Likewise this kind of data analysis provides added insights with which to strengthen my departments position and contribution to the campus community. This outcome speaks to my ability to equitably and ethically sustain people, process information, & assets to fulfill the mission, vision & goals of my institution.__________________ As a visual learner with limited experience in this area on a large scale, ED 812 provided a rare opportunity to intimately study the accreditation structure and process though their evaluation of CCSF (to show just cause) in real time. This was the best way to fully comprehend theories, outcomes and policy implications associated decision making practices.I have increased my awareness and clarity about the importance of budget and strategic planning in the allocation of resources and maintenance in each arena of the campus community. This includes assessments of direct and indirect consequences of resource allocations (or the absence thereof) upon student persistence and success. I have an increased interest and willingness to pro-actively engage in decision making strategies that promotes a commitment to optimizing resources for the prevention of system and/or structure failures (i.e. facility operations) that could (if not adequately addressed) negatively affect other areas such as operational systems and enrollment management. This outcome speaks to my ability to develop effective curricular programs, a student centered learning environment & on-going professional growth opportunities for staff. ____________________Through my research and studies in ED 885 840 & 860, I have learned that effective teaching and learning for all stakeholders occurs when diversity and cultural congruency are aligned with the learning environment. As such, I have increased collaborations with students and faculty to develop innovative strategies and resources (e.g., e-literacy e-tool boxes/tools, 3rd Space website) that enhances student agency and self-efficacy within a holistic framework to cultivate and illuminate personal and professional well-being. Instituting curricular change can be a serious dept. /institutional challenge even with the best of intentions. Having garnered a better understanding of emerging trends and paradigm shifts, I have improved my ability to adjust traditional program practices (e.g. program recruitment, increased use of technology and social media) in order to keep-up with emerging trends impacting institutional, student, and community needs and mandates. This otcome speaks to my ability to use speaking & writing skills in honest, open dialogue._____________________Without a doubt my skill set in this area has been enhanced through the programs use of numerous experiential learning strategies (e.g. Group projects, course dialogues, multi-medium tools and engagement) and recurring self-reflections.As a result I have achieved one of my personal program objectives, to improve my ability to more accurately and honestly frame and define the dynamics that shape and influence my departments needs and experiences through the building, strengthening and expanding of relationships within the campus community. This outcome speaks to my ability to develop responsive, cooperative, mutually beneficial & ethical sound internal & external relations.______________________The greatest lesson I have learn about this area is that our efforts institutionally to achieve the mission, vision and goals can not best be realized without effective engagement in this outcome. The program structure provides opportunities for each student to engage in teaching and learning experiences that highlight the expertise of all cohort/faculty members while demonstrating the value, importance and true effectiveness of team building.I have grown in my administrative ability to understand and execute the necessity of cultivating and expanding this institutional relationship beyond traditional classroom and department settings.Strengthening my development in this area has helped me realize personal aspirations to be a more effective team player and leader in respecting diverse perspectives that promote and providing opportunities for others to do the same.Learning Outcomes Fulfilled6) Organizational Advocacy7) Professional8) Financial & Legal Forces9) Decision SciencesThis outcome speaks to my ability to recognize, commit & advance the mission & goals of the organization. ____________________________________________I have learned through this process that creating avenues where self-discovery and an authentic sense of belonging are cultivated at each institutional level is crucial and foundational to believing and achieving this learning outcome. Throughout the program this learning outcome is ever present and I realize that the ability to define and deliver such advocacy requires increase and simultaneous active participation in numerous decision making arenas (Curriculum Committee, Academic Senate, Program Review, etc.). Thus establishing sound collaboration with other campus sectors makes it possible to effectively engage a voice in this effort. By doing so I am part of ta team effort that contributes to systemic reflections and adjustments needed to maximize organizational advocacy among departments, programs, and services throughout the college. This outcome speaks to my ability to set high standards for self and others, demonstrate personal accountability & ensure the long-term growth of self & the organization. _______________________I have learned that diversity in Professionalism is a vary important characteristic. That knowing and/or learning HOW to engage all stakeholders, have a commitment to prioritize and balance the needs of students and responsibilities of the organization is crucial to effectively meeting and exceeding any and all desired standards. Through this program I am finding the tools and experiences needed to support my work and provide clearer direction on how to achieve improved accountability for mandated and self-imposed standards. Lastly, this entails having a willingness to address inequities and the courage to work in partnership with others in order to make adjustments to and fulfill the needs and best interests of the students that we serve. This outcome speaks to my ability to identify the financial & legal forces affecting leadership in the Pre-K-20 Education._________________________ ARP 810 really helped me to understand the depth and breath of these forces in meeting institutional responsibilities and equity of services. It also helped me understand the importance of ethical conduct, honest communication and respect for the process as a vital component of leadership for progress and maintenance of the publics trust. I also learned that successful achievement in this area requires a healthy knowledge and integration of resource management, organizational strategy, advocacy, and effective collaboration. From this course I also gained a greater appreciation of how these forces impact policies and procedures (legislation, Ed Code) and inform the decision making process at all levels of higher education. This outcome speaks to my ability to engage in scientific methods to assess, practice, examine results & promote sound decision making._________________________Several courses have provided significant opportunities to engage and develop increased skill sets in this area (ED 850, 851, 836A,B&C). All of these experiences have expanded my knowledge and understanding of the value and uses of scientific research and inquiry in the learning and decision making process. To date I have already begun incorporating various elements of these processes into course curriculum. I appreciate having the opportunity to select and explore research topic areas that serve my personal and particular departments needs. As such this process has provided the necessary situated learning I needed to view and analyze my department from a more scientific lens. From this I have gained access to much needed scientific literature, discovery of theoretical frameworks and new methodologies from which to develop appropriate research questions for improved program services and evaluation. Furthermore, this foundation has supported my ability to strengthen program review assessments and program planning for improved unit alignment with the institutions mission, vision and goals.Classical and Super Symmetric Adinkra Visual Correlations identified in association with the Akan Adinkra EBAN symbol of love, safety and security.Adinkras: A Graphical Technology for Supersymmetric Representation Theory published in Physical Review D, vol. 71, Issue 6, id. 065002( 2004)Supersymmetry symbol and basis for AdinkramaticsWhat I Know To Be TrueThe healing processcan only be initiated as a consequence of our engagement in deep thought/deep study. - Nana Baffour Amankwatia II What I Know To Be TrueI am willing to step out on faith with the knowledge and understanding that all things are possibleI value committed collaboration to the well-being and success of allMy perspectives have value and meritI create a sense of belonging and self-efficacy to naissance new experiences and opportunitiesI am making meaning of the multiplicity I have to manageI have within me what I need to make the change I want to seeChange is constant That true professionalism requires attitudes and actions that are xenophilic in design, support and implementation What I Know To Be TrueCourage may be the most important of all virtues because without it you can not practice any other virtue consistently.- Maya AngelouInsert a picture of one of the points of interest for your country.13Why I Am ProudTaking RisksExpanded participation in Shared-Governance on campus & statewide levels (ASCCC)Expanded participation in administrative campus district decision making arenas (CRC & CIC) Initiated new changes to ASCCC Minimum Qualifications ListingExpanded myself beyond my comfort zone (technology literacy, proposal and grant writing, resolution author, finding my reflection in the work)Feedback from Pre-AssessmentFully embrace administrative rolesRe-Thinking LeadershipBalancing/sustaining the visionCultivate our ownEquity management starts with meInsert a picture of one of the points of interest for your country.14Once the job is once begun never leave it till its done.
