Football world cup 2006 By: Loay A.HammadWorld cup fifa 2006The Fifa world cup 2006 was held in Germany, in lots of deferent cities. The world cup I am going to talk about was held in Olympia stadium, Berlin. The first match of the 2006 world cup was on the 09 June 2006 and the final match was on the 09 July 2006 in Germany

Who where the finalist The two teams who where in the finals of the world cup 2006 where Italy and France. The both teams had scored 1 goal each so they had to take it to penalties so Italy won 5:3 What was the scoring sequence and who scored The scoring sequence was Italy 1 and France 1 so they took it to penalties. It was penalty kicks and Fabio Grosso scored the winning penalty after David Trazeguet failed to score.

The player leading to the goal for only one of the goalsThe goal that was scored during the main period of the game was by Italy the goal was scored by Materazzi as a header picked up fro the Zizous penalty kick.

What could the French team do better to stop the Italian goal I think the problem was not with the French defenders but the problem was with the goalie him self the goalie should have not let the ball he could have caught it very easily, also it was not the defenders fault because each defender had an French player under his control, I also think that that small mistake had coasted the French team there game. what individual skills have been used by the attacking team? I think that the two Italian players Zizous and Materazzi where really good, because if Zizouss corner pace was not high enough Matezzi then would not be able to give it the header so both of them did a great job, I also liked Matezzi header it was really a very lucky shot.

Was there any movement off the ball by other attackers to draw defenders away from the goal scorer? The French players had some really strong defenders but under confusion they had lost track of the players who had the ball because the Italians had a very good technique, they would let two or three of there players to get near the goal and then when the player with the ball paces it near the goal the two or three players would have a very big chance to score.
