Blom-stermaleren I.L. Vi byder p en enestende mulighed for at erhverve et af rumfartshistoriens mest bermte armbnds-ure, nemlig Omega Speedmaster, der var den model, som Armstrong bar om hndleddet, da han som det frste menneske nogensinde betrdte mnen (kat.nr. 786).Jesper Bruun RasmussenFine Art, Provenance and the Space RaceAt the auction the Danish Golden Age is represented by Ferdinand Richardts charming depiction of the view from his home in Copenhagen of Sankt Petris Church (cat. no. 11), as well as a fine little sketch by J.Th. Lundbye from Zealand (cat.no. 11) and a number of his drawings. If you like birds, Johannes Larsen has masterfully composed a large painting from Fiil Lake with several swimming birds (cat. no. 25). The flower painter I.L. Jensen has also included ducks in his hunting still lifes (cat. no. 18-19). The Skagen painters Ancher and Kryer are up for auction as usual, as well as two fine interiors by Viggo Johansen portraying the artists wife Martha (cat. no. 29 and 43). Paul Fischer has taken care to immortalize a side of Copenhagen, which unfortunately is disappearing more and more (cat. no. 54).This time, we will also focus on Russia with a selection of paintings and crafts from the Tsar-period. This includes a coastal section from Saint Petersburg by the artist Aleksei Petrovich Bogolyubov. The work comes from the art collection left by Johan Poul Quaade, who was stationed in Russia for the Great Northern Telegraph Company in the early 1900s (cat. no. 304). The auction also features some 20 art items from the venerable jeweller Faberg, among them a large elk figure in silver (cat. no. 319).Another highlight is the Chinese-style cabinet from the late 1600s that has graced the interior of Queen Anna Sophies Clausholm Castle. During a masked ball at Koldinghus Castle in 1711 Frederik IV fell in love with Anna Sophie, and she was married to him in a left-handed-marriage. The relationship created discord in the royal family, and it was only after Queen Louises death in 1721 that Anna Sophie was crowned Queen of Denmark-Norway. Frederik IV and Queen Anna Sophie enjoyed a lifelong love for each other, but after the Kings death in 1730, she was banished by his stepson Christian VI and spent the rest of her life in her birthplace at Clausholm Castle (cat. no. 364).A remarkable provenance is also attached to a beautiful diamond jewellery set consisting of a ring, two brooches and a hair comb, originally belonging to the Countess Eleonora Sophie Ahlefeldts-Laurvig-Bille. Her father, Count Preben Charles Bille Brahe Selby, gave the Countess the jewellery, presumably on the occasion of her wedding at Hvedholm Castle in 1904. The set of jewellery has since then been in the familys possession (cat. no. 633).One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind those were the famous words of astronaut Neil Armstrong during the moon landing of Apollo 11 in 1969. We offer a unique opportunity to acquire one of the space races most famous watches, the Omega Speedmaster. The watch is of the same model as the watch Armstrong wore on his wrist, as he let go of the lunar module and, as the first man ever, stepped down onto the surface of the moon (cat. no. 786).Jesper Bruun RasmussenTuesday 2 June 4 pmLot 1 - 134P A I N T I N G SA N D D R A W I N G SLot 2514 BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 8571 P E T E R R A A D S I Gb. It was on this occasion, he saw Lundbye for the last time. This painting is one of Lundbye's last. He paints it during a 14-day stay in February 1848 at the farm Godthaab in Hellebk in Nordsjlland. The size was more than 30 square kilometres. In the middle of the 19th century the farmers began to drain the lake to get more farmland. This continued until the 1940s. In the last part of the 20th century, part of the land was preserved and was appointed in-ternational protected wetlands (a nature reserve). It has recently been decided to re-establish the lake.DKK 100,000-150,000 / 13,500-20,00032 BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 85726 M I C H A E L A N C H E Rb. Bornholm 1849, d. The palette is often lyrical with soft colours and a few lighting effects, as in this painting, where his wife Martha tells stories for three of the family's six children in front of the open fire from the stove.DKK 150,000-200,000 / 20,000-27,00035BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 8572936 BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 85737BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 85730 K N U D L A R S E Nb. Mercury plays on his flute for Argus for as long as it takes the monster to fall asleep, and Mercury kills the monster with his sword. The National Gallery of Denmark owns a dish by Theodor Philipsen with the same motif and from the same year.DKK 20,000-25,000 / 2,700-3,3507371BRUUN RASMUSSEN BREDGADE AUCTION 85774 T H E O D O R P H I L I P S E Nb. On 28 March 1835 again to his sis-ter: "Today I got my 50 species for Ulysses".Homer's poem about Ulysses is about one of the Greek leaders fighting in the Trojan war with great courage, skill and cunning. On Ulysses' long journey back home, he is in great need of these skills on several dif-ferent occasions, one of which is when his ship during a storm get blown out of course and grounds on the island of the cyclops Polyphemus, and Ulysses and his men are kept prisoners in his cave. Odysseus get Polyphemus drunk, which is the scene de-picted in this painting, and then blinds the giant by thrusting a spear into his only eye. Ulysses and his men then escape by hiding under the sheep, when they are leaving the cave to pasture. DKK 100,000 / 13,500100 C . A . L O R E N T Z E Nb. Snderborg 1746, d. Paper size 19.5 x 23.2 cm.The drawing, and an accompanying poem that Lundbye himself had written, were a wedding gift to Meta Grundtvig and Peter Boisen, who married 29 October 1847. According to the drawing and the poem Lundbye, in the form of his alter ego the dwarf, presents the newlyweds with a little elf, who (in Danish) "will tend to and guard your house".Lundbye was one of the first artists to introduce the elf as a figure in Danish art. He was very interested in old Danish folklore and used many of the different supernatural beings from the old stories in his drawings. He used both the hill troll, the dwarf and the elf as either his alter ego or as a dear companion and/or helper in many of his drawings.Exhibited: The Hirschsprung Collection, "Tegninger og Huletanker" 1999 no. 293, reproduced p. 72 and p. 314.Provenance: Meta and Peter Boisen. Where such a licence has not been obtained, the foreign buyer will be informed thereof immedi-ately after the lot has been knocked down to the buyer. Anoth-er application will subsequently be sent to the Danish Cultural Assets Committee by Bruun Rasmussen on behalf of the buyer, now that the price is known. Should an export licence not be granted, the Danish Cultural Assets Committee would be obliged to acquire the purchased lot at the purchase price, and the buyer would thus not be bound to the purchase. 10. DESCRIPTION OF LOTSAll lots are sold in the condition in which they are found when knocked down and as described in the catalogue and on the homepage with subsequently published changes and modifica-tions. Description is done according to the best of Bruun Ras-mussens knowledge and on the cataloguing principles stated. The lots auctioned are often of some age or of a kind which makes it possible that they may contain defects, deficiencies, or may have been subject to restoration or damage not necessarily stated in the catalogue and on the homepage. Pictures are for identification only and cannot be used for an evaluation of the condition of the goods.Any person who wishes to bid at an auction should therefore sa-tisfy himself of the condition of the lots for which he intends to bid by personal inspection at the preview held prior to the auc-tion. The description is an indication of the prevailing opinion of scholars and expert at the time of the sale. If any doubts should arise after the purchase regarding the genuineness of the pur-chased lot or its conformance with the description, Bruun Ras-mussen should immediately be informed thereof.Should the purchased lot be proved to be a forgery, or if the description contains material errors which lead to a considerably higher hammer price than that which a correct description would presumably result in, the buyer shall be entitled to cancel the pur-chase, after which the buyer shall be reimbursed for the total pur-chase price paid plus buyers premium and VAT, when applicable. For material errors in the description in respect to measurements or weight, compensation shall only be paid on a percentage basis in proportion to the difference. The right of cancellation of a purchase in pursuance of the present conditions can only be exercised by the party who has bought the lot in question at Bruun Rasmussen and shall be subject to the presentation of a claim for cancellation in writ-ing to Bruun Rasmussen within 2 years of the purchase date and to the purchased lot being returned to Bruun Rasmussen in the same condition in any and all respects which the purchased lot was in at the time of the lot being knocked down to the buyer. In the event of cancellation the buyer shall not be entitled to claim payment of interest on the purchase price nor shall the buyer be entitled to claim compensation for any other expenses or loss incurred, including any possible loss of profit in connec-tion with reselling. It shall not be possible to state cancellation of a purchase in pursuance of the above provisions if:a the description on the day the lot was knocked down to the buyer was in accordance with the then generally accepted opinion of scholars and experts;b the only way of establishing whether the lot was a forgery at the time of the sale was the implementation of scientific pro-cesses, the validity of which was only acknowledged after the time of the sale, or which would have required a dispropor-tionate amount of cost, or which would have been impos-sible to carry out without damaging the lot in question. In addition to the time-limits stated above, all purchases are subject to the Statute of Limitations stipulated by danish law by which Bruun Rasmussen is under no circumstance liable for pur-chases after 5 years from the date of purchase.Bruun Rasmussen AuctioneersJesper Bruun Rasmussen, auctioneerJrgen Byriel, officially appointed external supervisorCOMMISSIONBruun Rasmussen undertakes to execute commission bids for bidders who are unable to be present at the auction. It is a pre-requisite that Bruun Rasmussen receives the commissions by let-ter, fax or telephone 24 hours before the start of the auction for the bidders credit to be checked, if necessary. Bids by the home-page are to be recieved a minimum of 3 hours before the start of the auction. Bruun Rasmussen is not to be held responsible for any errors that may occur using this service.CONDITION REPORTSBruun Rasmussen undertakes to provide further information about the state and condition of the lots if possible. This is regarded as a service for customers who are unable to make a personal inspection of the lots at the preview. Bruun Rasmussen stresses that the information given cannot be used as the basis for complaints; complaints can only be based on the description.EXEMPTION FROM VATBuyers shall, according to 2, pay full VAT on lots marked with an asterisk (*).No Danish VAT is to be paid when VAT registered companies from other EU countries buy at Bruun Rasmussen and resell to private buyers, The private buyer then only has to pay VAT according to the rules in force in the country where the foreign company is VAT registered.
