Optimize Your PCs Performance, Stability & SecurityFirst thing Ill say Never, ever, ever, ever buy a registry repair/cleaner program. It will not speed up your system. In certain circumstances it can help slightly, and repair some minor problems, but overall, it makes NO difference in speed or performance. Besides that, later I will reveal the best Registry Cleaners/Defragmenters and they are 100% free to use. Ill also explain when they should be used to improve performance. Below, Ive listed each step in the order that your PC system will benefit the most. So enough said, now Ill get straight to the good stuff Video tutorials now added (to watch, click on Free Video link at end of each step).

Optimization Step #1Adjust Visual EffectsFirst thing is to tweak your visual effects and improve performance, without losing how your system looks. I have tried many different combinations here, and what I share with you next, is in my opinion, the best of both worlds Good visual effects AND improved performance. 1. Click the Start button (bottom left corner of your desktop screen), then RIGHT click on My Computer (or Computer), then click on Properties, then click on Advanced system settings.

Optimization Step #2Remove Unused Programs(Can speed up system start-up & Shut down & Overall performance)

1. Click on the Start button

, then click Control Panel, then click on Add or Remove Programs or Uninstall a program.

2. Look through this list and see if you can spot programs you havent used for a long time and that you know you will not use again (dont worry, you can always install them again at a later time if you discover you need one). They are just sitting there wasting disk space, increasing start up time and possibly decreasing your overall computer performance. Uninstall a program by (1) hilighting it with your mouse and then (2) clicking on the Remove or Uninstall button. 3. Wait for the uninstall to finish, then restart windows to complete the process This is recommended to complete the removal process of any software program.4

Optimization Step #3Clean Up WindowsThoroughly cleaning your hard-disk on a regular basis (at least once a month) can make a huge difference on overall system performance. Delete files using Windows Disk Cleanup You want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use Disk Cleanup first. This will remove temporary files, empties the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of system files. How to clean your hard-disk using Disk Cleanup: 1. Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button , then click on My Computer (or Computer), then RIGHT click on Local Disk (C:), then click Properties,

5

then click on Disk Cleanup. Wait a few minutes while your system scans for all items that can be deleted.

2. In the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean up your own files only or all of the files on the computer (I recommend all files If you are prompted for an administrator password or on your PC). confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. If the Disk Cleanup: Drive Selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk drive that you want to clean up, and then click OK. 4. Click the Disk Cleanup tab, and then select the check boxes for the files you want to delete. I recommend that you do NOT select Thumbnails as this can cause you to loose all of your thumbnails displayed (in your Pictures folder for example).

5. When you finish selecting the files you want to delete, click OK, and then click Delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup proceeds to remove all unnecessary files from your computer. If its been a long time since your hard disk has been cleaned, this could take some time to complete. Let it run, it needs to. Done!

Advanced Cleaning:The More Options tab is available when you choose to clean files from all users on the computer. This tab includes two additional ways to free even more disk space:

System Restore and Shadow Copies. Prompts you to delete all but the most recent restore point on the disk. System Restore uses restore points to return your system files to an earlier point in time. If your computer is running normally, you can save disk space by deleting the earlier restore points.

In some editions of Windows Vista, restore points can include previous versions of files, known as shadow copies, and backup images created with Windows Complete7

PC Backup. This information will also be deleted. For more information about System Restore, search Windows Help and Support for "system restore."

NEXT Run CCleanerClean up your computer further with a free program thats extremely powerful, called CCleaner. Its one of the best available Its 100% Free and it works very well, often catching what your Windows Disk Cleanup can miss. You can run this program weekly to keep your system clean. Download and install Ccleaner here: www.ccleaner.com/download Instructions To Run CCleaner: 1. Click the Start button , then Programs or All Programs then click on and open the CCleaner folder, then click on CCleaner OR you can double click the icon on your desktop (shortcut).2. If you click the Analyze button, this will show you how much space you will

gain from what needs to be cleaned-up within your Windows operating system.

3. Click the Run Cleaner button. (You will get a warning message saying it is going to permanently delete these files - CLICK OK).8

4. Close CCleaner and restart windows to complete the cleaning process. 5. NOW Is when I recommend running the Registry cleaning option built into the CCleaner software (after completing this step). Video tutorial will be added to the Membership website - see end of Report for details. Done! FREE Video walks you thru Step 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp2uml-XtKk

Optimization Step #4Defragment WindowsOver time files on your computer become fragmented. This means that one file or program can be scattered in several pieces throughout your hard drive. Imagine jigsaw pieces scattered on a table, for example. Windows Defragmentation utility will defragment your hard drive and eliminate "spaces" that may have been left where files were deleted or moved. It will organize all the files on your hard drive, making them easier for your hard disk to find them and in turn execute them faster. Now imagine those same jigsaw pieces together in order, with no spaces between them. Run this tool at least once a month. Here are two important things to keep in mind before running a defrag: Make sure you run CCleaner before you run defrag (so you dont realign unnecessary crap on your hard drive). Try to keep the percentage of free space over 15% on the disk you are going to defrag - this enables Disk Defragmenter to complete its job with optimal results.

How To Run Windows Defragmenter: 1. Click on Start , then click on My Computer (or Computer), then RIGHT click on Local Disk (C:), then click Properties.9

6 Easy Steps To A Faster PC - Brought To You By www.FreePCTools.info

2. Click on the Tools tab from the top menu. Then click on Defragment Now

3. Once it is complete, the new window will pop up and tell you Defragmentation is complete for C. Then click the Close button. 4. Repeat this process if you have other hard drives and partitions installed. Done!

Note: The defrag process could take quite a while to complete. The bigger your hard drive and the more programs you have installed the longer it will take (could be hours). If youre hard drive is 40-120GB and you have a minimum amount of programs installed, it could finish defragging within minutes. Again this depends on how often defragmentation has completed since your Operating System (OS) was installed. Special Bonus Video walks you thru the Step 4 process: www.FreePCTools.info10

Click on Start , then click on My Computer (or Computer), then RIGHT click on Local Disk (C:), then click on Properties. 2. On the General tab Un-Check Index this drive for faster searching. Wait a few minutes for this to complete.

3. Or Click No, do not enable Indexing Service and then click Apply, then OK. Done! Special Bonus Video walks you thru the Step 5 process: www.FreePCTools.info11

Optimization Step #6Turn Off System Sounds (Optional)(Free Up More System Resources)

If you dont use speakers or just dont ever have the volume turned up then you could make this last tweak and save even more of your systems resources, allowing it to run more efficiently. By Default Windows operating systems have sounds turned on and assigned too many actions on your PC. If you disable these sounds you can be sure that NO PC performance is lost due to sounds.

How To Turn Your System Sounds Off: 1. Click on the Start button 2. Click on Settings and/or Control Panel 3. Click on Sounds and audio devices or Hardware and Sound 4. Click on the Sounds Tab or select Change system sounds from the list 5. Under the Sound Scheme Select No Sounds 6. Important: Click the Apply button to confirm, then click OK. Done!

How To Save Hundreds On Software That You Are Probably using Everyday!I want to show you how I save hundreds by never having to pay for software! The secret to this is, that I use free alternatives to software I need! I know some of you may be thinking that free software is junk, but I really want to open your eyes to a different type of software called OpenSource. OpenSource programs are developed freely and are collaborated by a community of enthusiastic PC users who believe that people shouldn't have to pay for software. To be honest with you, most of the open source software I use does a way better job that its non-free competitor, and this is because since it's OpenSource, the actual coding of the program can be tweaked and redistributed by other programmers... giving us consistently improved and superior software. Let me show you an example... Instead of having to pay for Microsoft's Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) I use a free and superior software bundle called OpenOffice. OpenOffice is FULLY Compatible with all of Microsoft Office's files. That means that if you have Excel documents or Word documents, OpenOffice will open them and handle them just like Microsoft Word and Excel would. How cool is that? Apart from being totally compatible, it looks really similar... meaning I didn't have to learn how to use the program. I actually felt like I hadn't changed my office suite at all! Further down in this report, I prepared a nice little list of some Amazing Musthave applications for your PC. I took the guess work out of choosing and gave you the best program for each category!
