BBC/RHS Peoples Choice Award: Help For Heroes Hope On The Horizon Designed by: Mat Keightley Built by: Farr and Robert Sponsored by: David Brownlow This garden was created as a beautiful, visual representation of the road to recovery injured soldiers have to go through when they are injured in service. Granite blocks represent the soldiers physical wellbeing whereas plants are used to symbolise the mental health.
  • 9. RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014 01993 771697 Minster Pavings Favourite! BBC/RHS Peoples Choice Award: Help For Heroes Hope On The Horizon Untamed plants begin the garden and slowly become more controlled and mature as you weave your way through. Hornbeams capture the eye at the end of the path with a sculpture of a horizon to remind soldiers of the bright future ahead of them. The spectacular sense of journey created in this garden made it Minster Pavings favourite!
